 Josephine A. (O' Toole) Shaughnessy, 85, formerly of Liverpool, died Wednesday at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.
The daughter of Austin and Mary (O' Malley) O' Toole of Clinton, MA, Josephine graduated from Clinton HS in 1944 and Clinton Hospital Nursing School in 1948. Josephine was an RN and resided in Liverpool for 50 years. She worked on the maternity ward at St. Joseph's hospital and retired in 1978. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Josephine was predeceased by her husband Paul, her son Joseph, and her brothers John and Francis.
Surviving are her sister, Mary Hanley of Leominster, MA, daughter Joanne (Joe) Rada of Birmingham, AL, sons; Paul (Pat) of Oswego, Patrick (Darcy) of Syracuse, and Michael (Sandy) of Minoa; as well as 10 loving grandchildren, Erin (Nathan) Smith, Maura, Liam, Jake, Katy, Shaughna, Austin, Declan, Allie, and Gigi, and one great-grandchild, Lillian.
Funeral services are 10 AM Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
